JINGPHO

SUMMARY

Sentence-final particles in Jingpho show the agreement features of the main predicate. In present-day Jingpho, possessors of subjects can control agreement in person and number on these particles rather than the possessed subjects itself. Evidence for the internal nature of the possessors comes in part from their adnominal genitive case. Possessors need not be overt to control predicate agreement.
